1973 Datsun 240Z

Turn heads and own a piece of automotive history with is beautiful 1973 Datsun 240z.  Representing the final and most refined production year of the 240z, this Datsun has been tastefully upgraded for modern day performance while maintaining its classic and clean original design.  Originally a California car, the body is rust free and maintains its original bright red (Code 110) paint.  The chrome and stainless brightwork is in great condition. The body gaps are consistent, and the body seams between welded panels are clean and rust free, showing correct factory spot welds. BRE ‘spook’ front and rear spoilers are colour matched to the body. The windshield and rubber seals are new, as are the factory emblems. Headlights have been upgraded to H4 halogen units. 16” Panasport wheels are at each corner with 205/ 60-16 tires, and combined with sway bars and lowering springs provide exceptional handling and grip.  All suspension bushings have recently been replaced.  Front brake calipers are Wilwood 4 piston units with 2 piece vented rotors. The original 2.4 litre L24 motor has been replaced with a 2.8 litre L28. The valve cover is a rare factory block font Nissan piece. The original problematic flat top Hitachi carburetors have been upgraded to triple fuel injected throttle bodies designed to look like side draft carburetors.  K&N air filters and a fuel pressure regulator with gauge as well as ‘efi hardware’ fuel rail and custom coil on plug assembly bring this engiine into modern times with effortless power and economy.  The ceramic coated header dumps into a 2.5” exhaust system. The factory 4 speed has been upgraded to a rebuilt 5 speed manual transmission.  The rear differential is an LSD R200 with finned aluminum cover a T3 aluminum mounting assembly.  Custom dual electric fans keep things cool.  The clean interior features original carpets, factory tool kit, very rare crack-free dash, speedometer has been upgraded to read in kilometers, and the original clock has been replaced with a digital AEM air fuel ratio gauge. Stock bucket seats maintain original vinyl centres with leather bolsters and backs. The centre console has an aftermarket padded arm rest.  Air condition keeps the occupants cool when the weather turns hot.  Datsun 240z’s have become extremely rare and difficult to find, making them exceptional investments while enjoying classic styling and canyon carving performance.  Sold certified and ready to enjoy.
